Today's journey was a mere 67 km and we left Katherine early so as to not miss out on a spot at the Leliyn campground at Edith Falls. As a result we scored a site beside a green grassy area and close to facilities. After setting up we had lunch before then wandering down to the rather large waterhole known as the Plunge Pool with water flowing in on the far side by way of a small waterfall. We spent the afternoon chatting with other folk in the water, swimming with our pool noodles and reading on the grassy shore. After heading home for a cuppa and dinner we went back to the Plunge Pool at sunset to view the glorious colours of the red rock walls in the setting sun's trays. Back at the motorhome later it was very hot and so we set up our battery powered fan and continued reading our respective books.
