Following on from our conversation with Ian yesterday we had arranged to visit Carol at their summer house at Peppermint Grove Beach. Accordingly we set off heading south for the 215 km journey stopping only briefly at Bunbury for a lunch break. Arriving at Carol and Ian's summer house we were greeted by Carol and two of her grandchildren. After refreshments we then went for a lovely walk along a wild and windswept beach before returning and driving the short distance to the nearby Peppermint Grove Beach caravan park.
Our blog created to record our experiences as we travel around the western side of Australia during the winter of 2017. Still trying to see as much of the planet as possible. We hope you enjoy our observations and holiday snaps.

Day 73 - Jurien Bay to Perth - 10 October 2017
Setting off a little late today we drove a mere 25 km to nearby Cervantes to satisfy a long held desire to have a crayfish meal on the west coast. This we did but we both found it a little disappointing. Not quite as good as all the hype it seemed. We then drove on to Perth with a stop along the way for a bite to eat - a toastie and a cup of tea. On arriving in Perth we swung by our friend Peter N's cousin Carol's husband Ian's house to have a cuppa and a chat before again moving on to our final destination which was a caravan park we'd stayed at previously - Karrinyup Waters resort. Settled in and watched television for the night.
