Day 48 - Karijini National Park to Paraburdoo - 15 September 2017

We set off this morning to drive to Paraburdoo via Joffre Gorge and Tom Price on the only other sealed road in Karijini. First stop was the Joffre Gorge lookout overlooking the gorge and pool below - the best part of this journey was the abundance of wildflowers en route. Then it was on to Tom Price for a grocery shop at Coles and a quick look around. This is a welcome little green oasis in the middle of the otherwise dry desert landscape. We indulged in a cup of coffee at a local cafe before hitting the road for Paraburdoo. On arrival we found a very well appointed campground with power, water, free washing facilities, TV and phone access all for a mere $25 - this campground caters for miners in the main with a great many accomodation trailer like cabins. Sue then proceeded to spend some hours washing the red dust out of our clothes as well as scrubbing the motorhome to get rid of the dust also.
