Day 50 - Paraburdoo to Nanutarra - 17 September 2017

We left this morning heading to Nanutarra Roadhouse and campground as our destination for the day. Along the way we encountered a woman with 2 children who had run out of fuel some 2 km from Cheela Plains homestead and she asked if we could visit there and ask if someone could assist her with fuel. This we did by driving the little over 1 km dirt road to ask for help. Then it was back on the road for the remainder of the 275 km journey. Today was 38.5°C and so we greatly appreciated the powered site which we got on arrival as it was in the shade of a tree as well as being able run our aircon flat out. The scenery en route was pleasant with low hills and windy roads through dry semi desert country. After setting up we went for a walk across the bridge at the river which runs beside this roadhouse and enjoyed the scenery in the evening sunset. Here we had no internet coverage, no phone coverage and no TV reception so once again it was an evening spent reading.
