We left Balladonia at 8.30 a.m this morning - something of a record for us. The distance was some 453 km with Sue driving a little over 150 km at the start heading to Caiguna. We had lunch somewhere along the way at a roadside stop. Arriving at what would have been 3 p.m. it suddenly became 3.45 p.m. as a result of a timezone change shortly after the roadside stop. Of interest when crossing the Nullarbor are those sections of the highway that are designated emergency landing strips for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Fortunately we didn't get to see them used as such. Facilities at Mundrabilla were so much better than Balladonia which had been too filthy to use. Here at Mundrabilla we had no internet or telephone access and no television reception. Instead we watched a dvd "Gone Baby Gone"
