And so after a hiatus of some four weeks we set off again to complete our planned half lap of Australia. Only this time we chose to go anti-clockwise given how late in the season it was and as a result we ought be able to see the West Australian wildflowers in bloom by the time we arrived in the south-west of Australia. This account of our travels is being written some years after the event and so I may miss some of the detail but hopefully nothing significant. I shall be working with paper diary records and photographs and hence should be able to do it well enough. The diary shows that we had a fairly easy run of it once we had detoured around a traffic jam on our way out of Melbourne. We stopped for lunch at a roadhouse somewhere on the Calder freeway before continuing to our destination for the night which was a campground at Sea Lake in Victoria.
