Day 5 - Lake Hart to Coober Pedy - 3rd August 2017

Today was quite cold and windy leading to an extra layer of clothing worn. We left Lake Hart at around 9.30 a.m. and headed to Glendambo for fuel and a rest stop. After this another 250 km until we arrived at our destination for the night, the opal mining town of Coober Pedy. Along the way we saw many groups of emus as well as birds of prey including wedgetail eagles. After booking into the caravan park we went for a bit of a wander around town including an area set aside for the public to "noodle" which I gather is the term for fossicking for pieces of opal that may have been missed by the miners.
